This pack of 24 garters is advertised for use with TX Homecoming mum garters. They are made of a slightly less nice material than the garters I bought from another group. They are also 1 inch smaller than other garters. In short, they are small and kind of cheap looking. However, they are marketed for the TX Homecoming mum garter crowd. Often mum garters are cut on the seam before being stapled to a cardboard backer, depending on your technique. Some mum makers attach the whole garter. I would recommend that this batch of garters only be used for pee-wee mum garters, or use the cut technique as I feel they are smaller. When laying flat, they are 4 inches vs my other garter of 5 inches. I did have a teen try it on and his only comment was that the material wasn’t as silky. He didn’t feel like that it was too small, so maybe it will work for you. This was just the garter and not attached to a mum garter. I make mums for the stanley style tumblers and water bottles. I think this type of garter would work for these as well to go around the tumbler. I think I will be saving money. So, to recap, they are smaller than other garters and made of cheaper fabric, but should get the job done for smaller TX Homecoming Mum Garters or mini mums/cup mums/ mumletts. They are an extremely affordable option, in crafting that counts for a lot.
